FOR:       The distinguished service rendered by BG Daniel E. Helix, and his exceptional performance

and leadership as the “Head of Chaplains” for the “East Bay Stand Down” event that occurred  06 through   

10 August 2008. His outstanding performance as the bugler for the morning revelry and evening colors ceremony for the “East Bay Stand Down”, was exceptionally outstanding and professional. BG Helix was highly instrumental in creating an environment of personal safety, and his inspiring work with the veterans

at the Friday night fire-side testimony meeting, that was so inspiring, and his outstanding sermon given Sun-

day morning, reflected the highest level of dedication, and great credit upon himself, his Head-quarters and

the United States Volunteers-America
